Real Life After 70

The phrase originates from a poem written in 1904 by an American writer from Kansas named Bessie Anderson Stanley. She submitted it to a magazine contest held by The Lincoln Sentinel that asked readers to answer the question, "What constitutes success?" Her entry won first prize.
​The very first line of her poem contains the famous sentiment:
​"He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much..."
