Living the Dream: Embracing Adventure!
While we are traveling, we do face some situations that trigger some stress. Join me as we discuss our journey across the good old USA. We are now in the Tucson, AZ area at Gilbert
Ray Campground.
As I record this, we are in the final days of the Christmas season. In fact, this is Christmas
Eve. When we look around, we are bombarded by joyous messages of family get-togethers
and happy celebrations. For many of us it is also a time of sorrow and sadness. We miss those many friends and family members who are no longer with us. We cannot make it into our seventies and beyond without experiencing many emotional losses. How we accept these emotions is important to being able to still enjoy our life and the activities that are available to us. So, don’t resist these emotions, but remember the good times and the fond memories of
those who are no longer with us.
Living in our 70’s and beyond should be a celebration, but naturally, it comes with mixed feelings about getting older. Aging does come with difficulties, but it presents opportunities to grow, reflect, and seek fulfillment.
Today I share with you some of my experience with living a somewhat nomadic life. It’s mostly
fun and rewarding, but sometimes it can be challenging. It has now been almost 4 months since we left Maine. We are currently at Gilbert Ray Campground in Tucson, AZ. This is a beautiful desert environment next to Saguaro National Park. This is a 1 week stay. Then, a new dventure.
Quote of the Day: “When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.” Anonymous
